THE FOX IN THE HENHOUSE
Rebecca Harned was appointed to the Kearsarge School District Budget Committee around November 2025 and elected in March 2026. In less than one year, Harned increased the school budget by more than $1.2 million, despite 73 fewer students attending Kearsarge than in 2020.

TAXES & MORE TAXES
The more than $1.2 million budget increase to the school budget under Harned is larger than the combined operating budgets of Sutton's Police, Fire, Ambulance, Health Services, and Trash Department. Those departments have a combined operating budget of $883,679, roughly 75% of the increase Harned greenlit in just one year.

ENOUGH IS NEVER ENOUGH
In fact, under Harned's leadership, Kearsarge has the highest per pupil cost of any district in the state. The average spending per pupil in Sutton this upcoming year is $27,691, compared to the New Hampshire average of $22,700 and the national average of $17,612. That's $10,072 more per pupil than the national average, despite fewer than half of students being proficient in math. Despite this, state education funding has risen every year for a decade and is projected to increase by another 31% over the next ten years. Local Democrat spending has continued to increase because of decisions made by Rebecca Harned and the Democrat-led school district budget committee. The result? Higher property taxes. Rebecca Harned wants to point the finger at everyone else, but her record speaks for itself. If Rebecca Harned gets to the State Senate, you won't just have to duct tape your wallet. You'll have to super glue it.

BERNIE & REBECCA
Rebecca is a longtime Bernie supporter. The same Bernie pushing socialist policies across the United States. And she's right there with him: Universal Healthcare, Legalizing Drugs, Defunding Police, Climate Justice, Green New Deal, and Free College Tuition. Rebecca isn't just Bernie-adjacent. She's running alongside the same Senate Democrats who have proposed $1.75 billion in new spending, a state income tax, and a new homeowners tax that could cost the owner of a median home $1,800 to $2,000 on top of local property taxes. After approving more than $1.2 million in new spending in less than one year, Rebecca Harned has already shown voters how she governs. She'll fit right in with the Senate Democrats.
